Mannnn, I've seen a tonne of show's with forced melodrama, and Sakamichi no Apollon isn't one of them. Nisekoi, Golden Time, Inou Battle wa Nichijou, Elfen Lied, + more. Frigging Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso was so much worse than Kids on the Slope. I'm pretty sure Kids on the Slope didn't have pacing issues.
